River Church is a family of disciples who make disciples for the glory of God and the joy of all peoples

Announcements

  • We are hosting a Men’s Breakfast on November 6 for all men ages 12 and up. If you are interested in attending, click the link here. Please do not sign someone else up, but encourage them to sign up themselves.
  • We are hosting a Women’s Morning on December 4 for all women ages 12 and up who are interested. More details will be coming out soon!
  • As a church, we are praying about partnering with the Harbor Network which exists “For pastors and leaders, Harbor Network offers safety and support to launch, lead, and multiply thriving churches.” Checkout their website here, and pray for us as we explore this partnership.

Wins and Praises

  • For the last month, the children’s ministry leaders have gathered together to pray for the students and each other before the gathering on Sunday mornings!
  • The marriage conference was a blessing to those who attended. We were able to host it for no cost to attendees due to the generous and faithful giving of those who call River Church home!
  • Church planters Benjamin and Binoi visited the Sunday gathering with us last month and shared what God is doing in India and how He is breaking down the “dividing wall of hostility” and making “one new man in the place of two” by the power of the Gospel! They plan to start services soon and focus in on Ephesians.
  • In the North Indian Mission that River Church supports 15 people have entrusted their lives to Christ and another 13 have become connected to a local church!  God has also moved in the heart of someone in our church to give $1,000 for the funding of the next Gospel camp.

 Prayer Requests

  • The spread of the Gospel in North Metro Atlanta
  • The missionaries we support
  • The church to be built up into the image of Christ
  • The people of God to live on mission
  • That God would move mightily in the next Gospel camp in North India to bring many to salvation
  • The children in our church to know the love of God

 Recommended Resources

  • Verses
    • “I have stored up Your Word in my heart that I might not sin against You” – Psalm 119:11. Memorizing Scripture is hugely foundational for the Christian life. Many of us, however, are not able to simply read Scripture and memorize it. This band on Spotify has over 75 verses put to song to help the church memorize the Word of God! There is also an app by the same name (unfortunately only for iOS devices) that helps you memorize Scripture.
  • Delighting in the Trinity – Michael Reeves
    • This book is an incredible book that takes the Trinity from being theological jargon to being a reason we delight in who God is! Reeves does an excellent job of telling us why the nature of God as Trinity is beautiful, holy, and exciting for the Christian.
