Holy, Holy, Holy

Preacher: Pastor Ben Robison Series: 2024 Standalone Sermons Topic: God's Character Passage: Isaiah 6:1–8

In Isaiah 6:1-8, we read of an encounter with God's holiness. Isaiah's vision of God on His throne, surrounded by seraphim, highlights God's supreme sovereignty and majesty. The seraphim's cry, 'Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory,' emphasizes God's unparalleled purity. Isaiah's reaction to this vision is one of humility and repentance, acknowledging his own sinfulness. A seraphim purifies Isaiah's lips with a burning coal, symbolizing God's forgiveness and atonement. This transformative experience leads Isaiah to respond to God's call to service with, 'Here I am! Send me.' This passage challenges us to reflect on God's holiness, seek His forgiveness, and embrace our calling to serve Him in our daily lives
