Philippians 2 shows us that Christ served us by going to the cross on our behalf. So now, we serve others -
"Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus."
If you are looking for a way to serve, and to be a blessing to others, there are a few teams that make our Sunday Gatherings 'go' at River Church - Guest Services, Worship/Media, & River Kids. We encourage our volunteers to 'sit one / serve one' if possible - To be served one Sunday, then to serve the next.
